Opia refers to the ambiguous intensity of looking at someone in the eye. For every pair of eyes the camera detects, the surrounding picture becomes more and more pixelated. In so doing, the people looking at the screen (regardless of wether they are on camera or not) cannot help but direct their attention to a gaze stripped of its facial expression.
